Maybe it's coming it to christmas and there is a big christmas party coming up with all your friends, except all your friends already have partners, you start to panic and really could do with finding a date, or maybe you just want to find a date full stop. Well finding a date is not as hard as it may seem, it all depends on your attitude to find one. If your half harted and not really putting in the effort, then theres a half harted chance of finding a date.

The first thing you need to do is make sure your confidence levels are high, it's pointless going out finding a date if you feel low and depressed, it's not going to give the right image. You need to build up your self esteem, some tips to make you feel more confident are included below: -

• Buy some new clothes to update your image, don't buy something you don't feel comftable in though.


• Give yourself a good makeover, keep yourself clean and scrub up every day.

• Visit the dentist to get those teeth looking great, have them cleaned so there looking white.


• Get yourself a tan, pop down to your local tanning center and freshen your skin.


• Get an idea of the latest styles and fashion, you don't want to be going out like everyone else did 10 years ago.


• Treat yourself to some time off work, maybe a short break away to relax.


• Read some magazines to get an idae of the latest trends and gossip.


• Join a health club or gym, a workout can make you feel great about yourself after.


• Lose those extra few pounds if you need to, this is a great way to feel great.


• Do anything else which you enjoy, you want to keep yourself happy and keep smiling.

You need to have a clear idea about the type of person you are looking for, try not to be too specific though because you will really limit your chances of finding a partner. Be realistic when choosing a partner, it's probably pointless looking for someone who looks like a superstar, because being honest with yourself, it's not going to happen.

Is there anyone near your home, in your neighborhood or in your circle of friends that you get on really well with, if so then why not ask them if they want to go out for a drink? Make the first move instead of waiting for someone to ask you, it's time to be positive. Join clubs in your local area where you can meet different sexes, it's a great way to introduce yourself to new people.

Apparently, nearly 90% of people working in London who have a partner actually met them at work, they don't mean that they actually work together, but through work they met someone, maybe from another company in the same building. I personally don't beleive dating someone in your office is such a good idea, what happens when you fall out, it could ruin your career.

If your company has many offices, why not go to the christmas party, that would be a great place to meet someone. Even if you know of a socialising event with your company such as bowling or to the bar for a few drinks, go with them.

If you don't have a large firm or there is only a few poeple you work with, then this isn't an option for you, but bear it in mind for the future.

Join your local gym or health center, keep yourself fit and get into shape, lose those extra pounds you have put on over the years. Keep this up on a regular basis, using a gym is a great way to make yourself feel great aswell as make yourself look great. Theres not just gyms you can join, what about local sports teams such as football, swimming and other sports.
